DescriptionThe 2009 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 50DS is a beautifully styled deck saloon cruiser designed by Philippe Briand with Garroni styling throughout. Renowned for her raised saloon, panoramic visibility and effortless long-distance cruising ability, the 50DS remains one of Jeanneau’s most sought-after flagship models. Twin rudders and a powerful hull design deliver excellent handling and seaworthiness, while major upgrades including lithium batteries, extensive solar capacity, wind generation and a Victron management system make her exceptionally capable for modern liveaboard and blue water cruising.

Her spacious three-cabin owner’s layout offers impressive comfort afloat, centred around a luxurious forward owner’s suite with private en-suite facilities and writing desk. Two additional aft double cabins and a bright deck saloon provide excellent accommodation for family and guests, enhanced by reverse-cycle air conditioning and panoramic wrap-around windows. The yacht is powered by a reliable 110HP Yanmar shaft drive diesel with folding propeller and bow thruster, complemented by a Paguro generator and recent engine, shaft and propeller servicing.

On deck, she is exceptionally well equipped for comfortable short-handed sailing and extended cruising. Her in-mast furling rig, electric winch and Harken mainsail trolley simplify sail handling, while the comprehensive Raymarine electronics package includes radar, AIS and twin autopilots. The spacious cockpit features custom covers, cockpit cushions, sprayhood and bimini, alongside a Besenzoni hydraulic gangway, stainless steel solar arch and dinghy davits. Combining luxury, practicality and proven offshore capability, this Sun Odyssey 50DS is a highly specified cruising yacht ready for her next adventure.
