Are you serious about offshore cruising and want to spend your time sailing? This is your boat. It is rare to find a Najad 570 CC this well prepared for circumnavigation. And Gulliver 2 is ready to leave now.
The equipment list reads like a circumnavigation checklist that someone already ticked off: carbon crane and tender with outboard for shore access anywhere, Newport 700 watermaker for unlimited water autonomy, 1,120 Ah lithium battery bank with Mastervolt generator and energy monitoring, Furuno navigation suite with full redundancy — two autopilots, two chartplotters, radar, EPIRB and Starlink for connectivity even mid-ocean. Add bow and stern thrusters for tight anchorages, twin Eberspächer heaters for northern passages, and a storm jib and emergency steering system for when the weather reminds you this is a real ocean yacht.
Step into the protected centre cockpit and you understand why Najad owners cross oceans without professional crew. A fixed windscreen and deep coaming shield you from spray and wind; a full sprayhood with extensions and bimini top mean you can helm through a squall line or lounge through a calm afternoon with equal comfort. Twin steering pedestals with integrated engine controls put everything within reach.
The deck is pure solid teak, cockpit included. Forward, the generous open deck areas give you room to work sails without tripping over hardware. Aft, three large lockers swallow lines, fenders, and dive gear whole, while a dedicated forward sail locker keeps the wardrobe organised and accessible.
The rig is where Gulliver really earns her "two-person crew" reputation. Four electric Andersen winches handle the heavy loads — sheets, halyards, furling lines — while two manual winches cover the rest. Hydraulic in-mast furling, hydraulic genoa furling, hydraulic backstay and vang: you manage 163 m² of working sail from the cockpit without leaving your seat. When the wind drops, unfurl the Code 0 or fly the gennaker. When it builds, reef or roll away in seconds. It's the kind of setup that makes a tough night watch manageable and a perfect trade wind day effortless.
A carbon crane handles the Highfield 310 tender and Yamaha 20 hp outboard, launching and recovering the dinghy without drama. The integrated swim platform, stainless steel swim ladder, and folding gangway make getting on and off the water easy and elegant. Sidepower bow and stern thrusters take the stress out of tight marinas, even in a crosswind.
Everything on deck is designed around a single idea: the ocean is unpredictable, but your boat shouldn't be.
