CANOPUS2007 Cranchi Mediterranée 50 HTAsking USD 325,000Located at Club Marina Göcek, TurkeyCanopus is a 2007 Cranchi Mediterranée 50 Hard Top, an Italian express cruiser from one of the Mediterranean’s most recognisable yards, completed in Italy and offered today from Club Marina Göcek on Turkey’s Turquoise Coast. The Mediterrane 50 HT was conceived for owners who want enclosed hard-top protection when the breeze freshens, and an open, social cockpit when the sun is high—precisely the rhythm of a long season between Göcek, Fethiye, and the surrounding gulfs. Beneath her sleek profile lies the deep-V hull and balanced proportions that have made this model a lasting favourite among mid-fifty-foot performance cruisers. She flies the Turkish flag as a commercial yacht (ticari yat), with Antalya as port of registry. Her recorded overall length is 14.98 metres with a breadth of 4.30 metres—a substantial, well-proportioned platform that carries her hard top without heaviness and rewards confident handling in typical coastal conditions. From the waterline up, the Mediterranée’s silhouette is unmistakably Cranchi: a fine entry, a purposeful sheer, and a hard top that sits naturally in the profile rather than appearing as an afterthought. Displacement and tankage are arranged for serious day and weekend cruising: fuel capacity is 2,000 litres, supporting the twin high-output diesels that define this yacht’s character and allowing rewarding range between fuel stops along the Turkish coast.Propulsion is a pair of Volvo Penta D12 diesels, each rated at 570 kW—approximately 775 horsepower—delivering the kind of reserve power that makes passage-making and docking feel assured rather than hurried. These are substantial six-cylinder diesels in the upper tier of the models historic power options, chosen for thrust, reliability, and the ability to maintain comfortable cruising speeds without working the engines at their limit. Electrical independence underway and at anchor is supported by a Fisher Panda generator of 12 kW. The result is a yacht that can run hotel loads, climate systems, and galley demand without constantly seeking a shore pedestal—an important practical advantage on Mediterranean berths and at quiet anchorages alike. On deck, the Mediterranée 50 HT presents as a true hard-top express: a protective upper structure over the helm and companionway, generous cockpit entertaining space aft, and the clean Italian lines that distinguish Cranchi’s work of this era. Side decks and boarding arrangements favour easy movement between bow sunpads, the helm, and the aft platform—the social geography of a yacht meant to be lived on during long, bright days. The model is laid out below with three cabins and two heads in the classic Mediterranée arrangement, offering berths for six in a bright, well-finished interior suited to family cruising and guest weekends. Forward, an owner’s cabin sets the tone; guest cabins and a practical galley complete an accommodation plan that has proven itself across countless Mediterranean seasons. Soft furnishings, joinery, and natural light through the hard-top and hull openings give the saloon and cabins a sense of space unusual in an express of this length.Canopus carries a current Turkish coastal seaworthiness certificate, valid through May 2029 and backed by a documented survey trail that includes drydocking in 2025. That continuity of survey and maintenance is part of her appeal: she arrives with a paper trail that serious buyers and their surveyors can work from. Life-saving and firefighting equipment recorded for the vessel includes a service boat and liferaft each rated for six persons, four lifebuoys, six adult life jackets and two children’s life jackets, and eight portable fire extinguishers—provision aligned with her coastal commercial certification and ready for serious use rather than mere checklist compliance. What sets a well-kept Mediterranée 50 HT apart is the marriage of style and substance. Cranchi’s build quality of the mid-2000s remains highly regarded: solid fiberglass construction, thoughtful ergonomics at the helm, and a cockpit that works equally well for entertaining and for short-handed operation. Twin D12 power places her firmly in the performance tier of the class, while the hard top extends the usable season and softens the midday heat of a Turkish summer. From Göcek she sits at the heart of some of the eastern Mediterranean’s finest cruising grounds—calm mornings in the bay, afternoons among the islands and pine-backed coves, evenings back alongside with shore power and the marina’s easy hospitality. For a buyer seeking a stylish Italian express already positioned in one of the region’s most desirable home ports, the combination is compelling.Canopus is offered at USD 325,000 and may be viewed by appointment at Club Marina Göcek. She will appeal to the purchaser who wants Italian design, substantial twin-diesel performance, and a hard-top cruiser already oriented to Mediterranean coastal life—ready for inspection, sea trial, and the next chapter of ownership.ACCOMMODATIONSThree-cabin, two-head Mediterranée 50 HT layout; berths for six- Forward owner's cabin with ensuite arrangement typical of the model- Twin guest cabins aft- Bright saloon and dining area beneath the hard top- Practical galley suited to extended coastal cruisingDECK & HARD TOPCranchi Mediterranée 50 Hard Top express configuration- Protective hard top over helm and companionway- Generous cockpit for entertaining and boarding- Service boat (capacity 6 persons)MECHANICALTwin Volvo Penta D12 diesels, 570 kW each (approximately 775 hp each)- Fuel capacity 2,000 L- Fisher Panda generator, 12 kW- Inboard shaft-drive arrangement typical of the modelELECTRICALFisher Panda 12 kW generator supporting hotel loads underway and at restSAFETYService boat: 1 (capacity 6)- Liferaft: 1 (capacity 6)- Lifebuoys: 4- Life jackets: 6 adult + 2 children- Portable fire extinguishers: 8DOCUMENTATION & CERTIFICATIONTurkish flag; commercial yacht (ticari yat) registration; port of registry Antalya- Coastal seaworthiness certificate valid to May 2029- Survey trail includes drydocking in 2025- Operational note: certificate limits voyages to not more than 20 miles from nearest landDIMENSIONS & PARTICULARSYear: 2007 (Italian-built)- LOA: 15.30 m (hull length 14.99 m)- LWL: 12.50 m- Beam: 4.33 m- Draft: 1.05 m- Height above waterline: 4.00 m / 13 ft 1 in- Dry weight: 16,500 kg- Location: Club Marina Göcek, Turkey- Asking: USD 325,000DISCLAIMERThe Company offers the details of this vessel in good faith but cannot guarantee or warrant the accuracy of this information nor warrant the condition of the vessel.
