This 1980 Beachcraft Fly is a characterful steel knuckle-bow motor yacht measuring 10.00 x 3.00 meters, featuring a practical layout, ample living space, and both indoor and outdoor steering positions. Thanks to the enclosed salon, flybridge, sleeping accommodations, galley, heating, and extensive onboard facilities, this vessel is suitable for day trips, weekends, and longer vacations on board.
With a draft of approximately 1.10 meters and a clearance height of about 2.40 meters with the bimini down, the Beachcraft is suitable for a wide range of waterways. Interior and Comfort
Inside, you will find a cozy and practically designed interior featuring an enclosed salon, seating area, dinette/eating area, galley, toilet space, and sleeping area/rear cabin. Thanks to the windows all around, plenty of natural light floods in, providing excellent visibility from the salon.
The galley is equipped with a 5-burner gas stove, refrigerator, and sink while offering practical work and storage space. For comfort on board, there is also a boiler and Trumatic gas heating system. The freshwater supply consists of a flexible water tank with a capacity of approximately 75 liters.
The standing height is about 1.80 meters in the salon and approximately 1.75 meters in the rear cabin, making this vessel practical for longer stays.
The sanitary facilities include a Jabsco marine toilet that is about two years old and a waste water tank with a capacity of approximately 20 liters. Additionally, there is a larger waste water tank present that has reportedly not been used.
Dual Steering Positions
An attractive feature of this Beachcraft Fly is the dual steering position. The vessel can be operated from both the sheltered interior helm station as well as from the flybridge/upper helm station. Engine and Technical Specifications
The Beachcraft is powered by a Mercedes OM617 5-cylinder diesel engine producing approximately 86 horsepower, coupled to a reverse gearbox with shaft drive. The stated cruising speed is around 10 km/h.
For fuel supply, there are two plastic diesel tanks each with a capacity of approximately 75 liters: one main tank and one reserve tank. This gives a total stated fuel capacity of about 150 liters.
Electrical System
The electrical installation is also practically designed for living aboard. The vessel features: two approximately 100 Ah batteries from 2024, two solar panels with charge controller, a 350 Watt inverter, shore power connection, alternator, and an electric control panel.
The combination of shore power, batteries, and solar panels makes this vessel practical for both dockside living as well as during multi-day voyages.
Maintenance and Upgrades
In 2019 various works were carried out on the vessel. The toilet plumbing was renewed along with part of the hull plating below the waterline. These works were reportedly performed by Jaree Tinnemans in Heel.
Additionally, in 2019 a new propeller was installed. More recently in 2024 two approximately 100 Ah batteries were replaced.
