DescriptionWe are delighted to offer this exceptionally well-presented Moody 44, a yacht that clearly reflects many years of careful ownership and continual investment.

Designed by the renowned Bill Dixon and built by Marine Projects, the Moody 44 has earned an excellent reputation as a capable offshore cruising yacht, equally suited to extended liveaboard use and comfortable coastal cruising.

This particular example stands out from many others currently on the market thanks to the extensive programme of maintenance and upgrades carried out by her owners. Significant recent improvements include new standing rigging in 2024, a new heating system in 2026, upgraded navigation equipment, a new staysail, refurbished genoa and sprayhood, replacement batteries and a recent survey completed in 2026.

Below decks the accommodation is spacious, bright and remarkably well cared for. Offering sleeping accommodation for up to eight, along with two heads compartments, generous tankage and ample storage, she is ideally equipped for extended cruising. The interior presents extremely well, with modern LED lighting, replaced windows and portlights, and a level of cleanliness and care that is immediately apparent.

On deck she is equally impressive, with a comprehensive inventory including electric windlass, davits, dinghy and recent safety equipment. Her cutter rig configuration provides a versatile and easily managed sail plan, while the in-mast furling mainsail and furling headsail make short-handed sailing straightforward and enjoyable.

Having recently inspected this yacht, I was genuinely impressed by her overall condition. She presents as a much newer vessel than her years would suggest and offers prospective purchasers the opportunity to step aboard and cruise with confidence. Early viewing is highly recommended, as quality examples of the Moody 44 with this level of maintenance and upgrading are seldom available.
