DescriptionThe Hunter Legend 306 is a highly regarded cruising yacht, renowned for her spacious accommodation, easy handling, and excellent sailing performance. Setanta is a well-maintained 2002 example that has benefited from continuous upgrades and thoughtful ownership, making her an ideal choice for couples, families, or sailors looking to enjoy comfortable coastal cruising with confidence.

Designed with practicality and comfort in mind, Setanta offers surprisingly generous living space for a yacht of her size. Her bright and airy interior sleeps up to six across two double cabins and the saloon, featuring a well-equipped galley, spacious heads compartment with hot shower, and a large saloon with ample seating and storage. The deep cockpit provides a secure and comfortable space underway or at anchor, complete with wheel steering, pushpit seats, sprayhood, and a folding transom swim platform.

On deck, the fractional sloop rig is simple to manage with all control lines led aft to the cockpit. A Selden mast and spars package, Furlex headsail furling system, stack pack, lazyjacks, cruising chute, and storm jib provide versatility for a wide range of sailing conditions. Standing rigging was renewed in 2019, offering additional peace of mind.

Powered by a dependable Yanmar 2GM20FC 18hp diesel engine, Setanta has seen significant recent investment, including replacement injectors, saildrive seal, engine control cables, and a new engine wiring harness fitted in 2026. The yacht is equipped with a feathering Kiwi Prop for improved sailing performance and manoeuvrability under power.

Navigation equipment includes Raymarine wind, depth and speed instruments, ST4000+ autopilot, DSC VHF radio, Garmin GPSMAP plotter, compass, and radar reflector, making her well-equipped for coastal cruising and longer passages.

Further enhancing her value, Setanta is offered with a full cockpit enclosure (unused), Waveline inflatable dinghy, and Suzuki 2.2hp outboard engine, providing a complete package ready for immediate cruising.

With comfortable accommodation, a manageable sail plan, extensive equipment inventory, and numerous important upgrades already completed, Setanta presents an excellent opportunity to acquire a well-equipped and affordable cruising yacht that is ready for her next adventure.
