Whilst sailing mid-atlantic on 15th Janauary 2022, the crew noticed the yacht was taking on water at the bow (sail locker). The crew made it to Horta (in 3 days) with the assistance of Portuguese authorities, continuously pumping as they went. A temporary repair was made in Horta. The breach was sealed by placing concrete in the bottom from the inside and epoxy from the outside.

It is a believed that during a storm, a piece of flotsam wood was what caused damage, tearing the hull bottom sheet metal in the sail locker hold, in the bow. Water inflow was estimated at approx. 15 litres per minute. Further to temporary repair, the yacht was able to return safely to Lorient.
