They say some yachts are built to sail. Others to be remembered. Tintagel belongs, unmistakably to both. This 55ft high-performance cutter-rigged sailing yacht was designed by the renowned Hoek Design Naval Architects and built in aluminium by the esteemed Vitters Shipyard in the Netherlands in 1994, to the exacting standards of American Bureau of Shipping. She carries timeless, evocative lines. But don’t let those elegant lines mislead you. Beneath that classic profile lies a modern underwater configuration, paired with a performance-oriented rig and sail handling systems - delivering sailing that is as capable as it is captivating. And her track record speaks for itself, with several notable victories to her name. Yet despite her performance pedigree, she remains remarkably manageable by a couple.Step below deck this 55ft Hoek Design and the experience continues. The interior mirrors her exterior: refined, warm, and crafted with care. Rich Honduras mahogany, Corian countertops, and light maple flooring create an inviting atmosphere. A spacious owner’s cabin forward with en-suite bathroom, together with a guest cabin aft with en-suite, ensure both comfort and privacy on board. Fully equipped with, among other things, heating and air conditioning, Tintagel is prepared for every season and every destination. A substantial refit in 2015 marked the beginning of an ongoing program of upgrades and maintenance, always carried out to the highest standard. Her specification, both on and under deck, is extensive, and you can be assured she is very well equipped throughout. Please don’t hesitate to contact us, we will be happy to share the full brochure with you.
