Description

Remarks :
The Beneteau Barracuda 9 is a versatile and capable sports cruiser designed to combine comfortable cruising with excellent handling and practical features for fishing, exploring and family boating. "Little Farragon" is a 2012 example presented with a strong specification including the desirable twin Mercury Verado 200HP outboards, flybridge helm position and a Furuno electronics package.

Powered by twin Mercury L4 200 Verados with 366 hours, she offers an impressive combination of performance, manoeuvrability and ease of handling. The Digital Throttle & Shift controls, bow thruster and Lenco trim tabs all add to the confidence and usability of the boat, whether cruising offshore or manoeuvring in close quarters.

Her blue hull gives her a distinctive appearance, while the Air Step® hull design is intended to provide efficient performance and a comfortable ride. The layout makes excellent use of space, with a practical wheelhouse offering protection from the elements, excellent visibility and comfortable helm seating with rotating captain and co-pilot chairs.

The wheelhouse is well equipped with Furuno navigation electronics including radar and chartplotter, along with an ICOM fixed VHF, Fusion sound system and SmartCraft engine instrumentation. The separate flybridge helm provides an additional driving position and a great vantage point for enjoying days afloat.

Outside, the boat is well suited for fishing and cruising, with cockpit and bow cushions, a useful deck wash system, rod holders, rocket launchers and a Lewmar windlass with stainless steel Delta anchor. The forward seating area provides a comfortable space to relax when at anchor.

The accommodation offers a practical overnight option with a forward cabin and separate heads compartment fitted with a Jabsco toilet and pull-out shower.

"Little Farragon" represents a well-specified example of the Barracuda 9 with a desirable twin-engine setup and a good selection of equipment. She would benefit from some cosmetic attention in places, but offers a great opportunity for someone looking for a capable offshore cruiser, fishing platform or family day boat.

Brokers Personal Remarks

I have always liked the Barracuda 9 as a concept; they are practical, versatile boats that offer a good balance between offshore capability, comfort and usability. "Little Farragon" is a nicely specified example with the added appeal of the twin Mercury Verado setup, flybridge helm and a comprehensive selection of equipment.

She has clearly been set up with versatility in mind, whether that be family cruising, fishing trips or simply enjoying time afloat. The combination of the enclosed wheelhouse, outside helm position and practical cockpit layout makes her a boat that can adapt well to different uses.

She offers a super opportunity for someone looking for a well-equipped Barracuda 9 with all of the particularly desirable features already in place.
