DescriptionRiverHomes is delighted to present Bonheur, a charming 112ft Dutch Luxemotor barge offered with a rare 105-year lease on a secure mooring at Oyster Pier, just moments from Battersea Square. This is a unique opportunity to acquire a beautifully maintained floating home in one of London’s most desirable riverside locations.

Internally, Bonheur offers over 1,450 sq ft of living space, including three spacious double bedrooms, each with its own en suite. The heart of the home is a 30ft x 13ft open-plan living area, featuring a wood-burning stove, a well-appointed kitchen, and ample space for dining and entertaining. Central heating ensures year-round comfort, and large windows flood the space with natural light.

Above deck, a generous outdoor area provides panoramic views of the Thames—ideal for relaxing or hosting guests. Living on the river offers a peaceful, village-like atmosphere, enhanced by a friendly community of barge owners and regular visits from local wildlife including swans, herons, and even the occasional seal.

Originally a restaurant on the Seine, Bonheur was transformed in 2005 into a boutique hotel barge cruising the Saône and Burgundy canals. She was brought to London in 2016 and has been lovingly cared for since. A separate master cabin sits beyond the newly rebuilt wheelhouse, offering privacy for owners or guests.

Additional features include extensive underfloor storage, a FiatAifo/Iveco 180HP diesel engine, and shore-connected utilities. The vessel has been dry-docked twice for maintenance, including a gearbox rebuild.

Battersea Square is a five-minute walk, offering cafés, restaurants, and local shops. Transport links include the 170 bus, Thames Clipper at Plantation Wharf, and Clapham Junction station.

Bonheur is a much-loved home, ready to welcome new custodians to enjoy its unique charm and riverside lifestyle. Council tax band A.
