For almost a year, we have been working on the development of this model. The requirements for the design were therefore high: a shallow draft, excellent maneuverability, a spacious interior, comfort, and plenty of lounge space, excellent course stability, and also fast sailing. In short, a fast boat with comfort.

Design

Our team certainly had no easy task. In addition to the aforementioned requirements, they also had to take into account the wishes of some of our loyal customers, who have been closely involved in the design from the beginning. And of course, the yard itself had a large number of wishes and requirements. The new model had to be not only well-built but also meet the high quality that Enkhuizen sloops have become known for. "Some wishes are difficult to combine," the team says about this design assignment. "Enkhuizen sloops can handle a lot of wind, remaining well controllable and safe. That requires a certain hull shape and a well-designed underwater body. Additionally, our customers want a spacious and comfortable interior equipped with all modern conveniences. Combining all those wishes sometimes requires a bit of creativity," he says with a sense of understatement.

Unprecedented sailing characteristics

The hull shape of the new model invites sailing in a very wide range of sailing areas. Due to the shallow draft and the clever way the hull releases the water, the boat creates little wake in shallow water. A boat that respects shores and other water sports enthusiasts. On larger waters, high speeds can be achieved, even with low engine power, as the hull quickly planes. This allows for covering long distances in a short time and in complete comfort.

Comfort at a high level

"Speaking of comfort," Vincent Stoop adds, "the 630 lounge will be equipped with a robust and safe electrical system so that all modern aids can be integrated reliably. Additionally, the boat offers enough space for overnight stays. We can also include the necessary facilities in this new model."

Individual wishes

In addition to the high standard level, the owner can vary extensively in the interior. Choices can be made from various shapes of boarding steps, galley cabinets, steering consoles, and engine boxes. Each Enkhuizen 630 lounge thus gets its own character, especially when the upholstery and hull colors are also taken into account. Furthermore, the Enkhuizen 630 lounge can be equipped with numerous solid teak accents or artificial teak at the owner's choice.
