Oceanis 473 Clipper from 2002 in excellent condition and updates is a 14-meter for pure cruising designed
by Studio Finot. The organization of the deck plan is intelligent, the interior heights are remarkable. It prefers strong winds
and downwind gaits. The project The hand of the Finot studio is immediately noticeable in the design of the stern,
decidedly wider than that of its opponents. The line of the deckhouse of the Oceanis 473 Clipper is similar to that
of the 393 (a project by Berret Raccopeau), with the windowed step just aft of the mast that
distinguishes the new Oceanis generation.

The construction with traditional techniques leads the 473 to have a displacement in the average of the boats in its
category (11200 kg), while the waterline length is excellent, a guarantee of good motor averages. The
version available for the keel, traditional 2.10

The design

The design of the Oceanis 473 Clipper is dominated by the almost "exaggerated" heights (anywhere about 2 meters) and the brightness/ventilation guaranteed by the
19 portholes and skylights on board. Interior description : The square area is especially successful
with the large upper window that gives a feeling of greater
size and with the rectangular table, comfortable for dining in six and which quickly turns into the largest
of the on-board berths.
Another clever sofa, which can also be used (perhaps equipped with an anti-roll sheet) as a guard berth
, runs along the port side. The kitchen of the Oceanis 473 Clipper is L-shaped and is equipped with an electric fridge and
a large 220-liter icebox, and with plenty of space to stow the galley.
The chart area of the Oceanis 473 Clipper is traditional, with a good-sized worktop and plenty
of space to install instruments and an electrical panel with water level indicator, AC/DC Ammeter
and Voltmeter. The dimensions of the cabins are more than abundant, with the bow cabin boasting better height and
a dedicated bathroom, and the twin aft cabins that instead "win" in terms of centimeters useful for the berths.
The latter, unlike what happens on competing boats in the same range, enjoy
more than sufficient ventilation
