DescriptionIntroducing the well-crafted Samson C-Lord, a remarkable ferro-cement yacht built to high standards by a marine engineer utilising the renowned Hartley/Sampson design. This durable construction method employs the Hartley Truss Frame technique, featuring layers of mesh combined with a specialist mortar made of sulphate-resistant cement, sand, and pozzolan. This results in a lightweight yet robust hull that can absorb impacts and maintain flexibility.
Insurance survey available completed 30th April 2026.
The exterior is finished with Jotamastic 87 epoxy, zinc-based primers, and antifouling, ensuring exceptional longevity, while significant above-water sections were professionally repainted in 2019. Inside, the hull benefits from 13mm nitrile foam insulation, effectively preventing condensation.

The deck design is anchored in functionality, featuring teak planks glued rather than screwed to maintain integrity and provide an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

With wide side decks for ease of movement and a large cockpit capable of seating six comfortably, this yacht is perfect for socialising or relaxing. The flexible sprayhood and Bimini can be extended with additional canvas to create a fully enclosed space, effectively transforming the area into an additional cabin during anchorage.

The vessel boasts a proven track record, including a circumnavigation, underscoring its reliability for long-distance voyages.

Ferro-cement, while less common, offers a durable and low-maintenance option for serious offshore cruising. For those interested in learning more about this construction method, resources like Ferroboats and Colin Brooks' book on Ferro-cement Boats provide valuable insights.
