DescriptionThe Saltram 36 (also known as the Saga 36) has been built and designed for blue water cruising. She is strongly built and capable of looking after her crew in the most adverse of weather. She is easy to sail singlehandedly as she has a furling headsail and a single line reefing system. Her owner has completed many long voyages successfully. She is well equipped with a comprehensive inventory and has been well maintained and upgraded by her owner. She had a new engine fitted in 2022.
She has a deep cockpit with wide side decks allowing easy access to the foredeck and a large sprayhood to protect one against bad weather.
Below is a revelation, she is a traditionally built yacht yet she is light and airy with proper sized sea berths. She has a double berth aft on the starboard side with the heads and chart table opposite. There is plenty of seating around the cabin table in the saloon, the seating converts to a decent sized double berth with an infill. The galley, which can be worked safely whilst at sea, is in the centre of the boat with the cooker and fridge to port and opposite there is a decent sized work space. The forward cabin has 2 large single berths which can be converted to another double.
This yacht will appeal to the serious yachtsman who can appreciate a well built and capable vessel. She is not for the boating caravaner.
If you are looking for a yacht capable of sailing oceans, long distance cruising or a capable family yacht, please book an appointment to view.
