Since its introduction, the Hanse 388 has become one of the most successful models ever built by Hanse Yachts. It combines the qualities of a modern cruising yacht with easy handling and an impressive amount of space for a yacht of this size. Designed for sailors who value comfort, strong sailing performance, and straightforward operation, the Hanse 388 is equally suited for weekend cruises and extended voyages. With her hull designed by Judel/Vrolijk, the Hanse 388 offers an excellent balance of stability, speed, and control. The wide stern creates generous living space both in the cockpit and below deck, while the modern hull shape delivers efficient performance even in lighter winds. A self-tacking jib, clean deck layout, and centrally led control lines make the yacht particularly attractive for short-handed crews and single-handed sailors, without limiting more experienced skippers.Below deck, the Hanse 388 provides a sense of space rarely found in this size category. Large hull and coachroof windows flood the interior with natural light, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere. At the same time, the layout remains highly practical and well suited for longer stays aboard. The yacht offered here, “Klaas + Karla”, was delivered in 2023 and has been sailed exclusively in the Baltic Sea since new. Her home berth is located in Heiligenhafen, one of Germany’s most popular starting points for cruises to the Danish South Sea, along the German Baltic coast, or towards Sweden. The yacht has been carefully maintained by her owner and is presented in excellent condition.“Klaas + Karla” is particularly attractive for buyers considering a new-build yacht. She offers the opportunity to acquire a nearly new Hanse 388 with an extensive specification and to start the upcoming season immediately—without the long delivery times typically associated with a factory order.“Klaas + Karla” is available for viewing in Heiligenhafen by appointment at any time.⸻Specifications & EquipmentSails & Rigging* QUANTUM AC5 Performance sails (fully battened, tri-radial mainsail and headsail)* Dyneema halyards for mainsail and headsail* Selden MDS mainsail track system* Anchor and forestay fitting with double anchor roller including gennaker/crossover attachment point* Barber hauler system including accessoriesEngine & Systems* Yanmar diesel engine* 29 hp* Approx. 178 engine hours* 160 L fuel tank* 2-blade folding propeller* Retractable 12 V bow thruster with dedicated batteryNavigation* B&G navigation package* 2 × B&G Triton² multifunction displays in cockpit* B&G Zeus³S 12” chartplotter at cockpit table* B&G V60 VHF radio with wireless handset* B&G autopilot with Triton² control unit* WR10 remote control for autopilot* Precision-9 compass* VHF preparation including antenna and splitter for FM and AIS* B&G mast displays* Handheld VHF radio* Wind instrumentElectrical System* Battery package: 1 × 90 Ah + 2 × 160 Ah AGM batteries* Wireless charging pad* Shore power connectionInterior* 6 berths plus saloon* 2 aft cabins, 1 forward owner’s cabin* Approx. 1.90 m headroom* L-shaped galley* Dining area to starboard* Sofa to port* Heating system with warm-air outlets in saloon and owner’s cabin* Head with separate shower compartment* Height-adjustable chart table* Saloon seating convertible into a double berth* Canadian Chestnut interior finish* Noce Nero cabin sole* Sorrento upholstery* Indirect lighting in saloon and cabins* Dimmable LED ceiling lights in saloon and owner’s cabin* 2 fans for deck hatches* Blind set with mosquito screens for deck hatches* Blinds for hull windows* Pleated blinds for coachroof side windowsDeck Equipment* Teak deck and cockpit* Folding stainless-steel cockpit table* Cockpit cushions* Courtesy lighting in cockpit and companionway* Manually folding swim platform with bathing ladder* 2 folding helmsman seats* 2 additional midship cleats* Electric anchor windlass with remote control and chain counter* 16 kg Delta anchor with 30 m anchor chain* Cockpit shower with hot and cold water* 6 fenders* 2 electric LEWMAR halyard winches* Dark grey hull wrap* Boom lightWater & Sanitary Systems* 295 L freshwater tank* Freshwater pressure accumulator tank* Electric marine toilet with seawater flush system
