Summary / Description

The 2024 Steeler Ocean Explorer 72 TWO BUBBLES represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most distinctive long-range explorer yachts in her class.

For the buyer seeking a true ocean-capable explorer yacht with pedigree, individuality, and proven offshore credentials, TWO BUBBLES represents a compelling offering. Her Atlantic crossing pedigree, custom owner-driven build philosophy, robust steel/aluminum construction, and highly developed systems package place her in a category well beyond the typical production long-range cruiser. Whether your plans call for East Coast cruising, Caribbean exploration, Mediterranean seasons, or serious passagemaking, TWO BUBBLES offers the range, capability, and comfort to do it with confidence.

Two Bubbles

TWO BUBBLES was conceived under the Dutch builder's “Custom Class” philosophy and developed in close collaboration with her owners rather than configured from a standard option list. The result is a highly personalized, owner-operator-focused passagemaker that combines true ocean capability with the comfort, finish quality, and intelligent systems integration expected of a modern Northern European custom build.

Purpose-built for serious cruising, TWO BUBBLES is constructed with a round-bilge steel hull and aluminum superstructure, delivering the seakeeping, strength, and ride comfort of a steel displacement yacht while benefiting from the weight savings and efficiency of aluminum above the waterline. Powered by twin MAN heavy duty marine commercial diesels and carrying approximately 4,990 gallons of fuel, she offers an impressive 4,000-nautical-mile range at 8 knots, making her exceptionally well suited for extended coastal and transoceanic passages alike. In fact, TWO BUBBLES earned her place in Steeler history as the first Steeler ever to cross the Atlantic on her own keel, a testament to the capability of both the platform and her owners' thoughtful specification.

With accommodations for seven guests in three staterooms, robust onboard systems, solar integration, large lithium battery capacity, Humphree fin stabilizers, bow and stern thrusters, a fully equipped flybridge, and a highly refined contemporary interior, TWO BUBBLES stands apart as a genuine long-range explorer that does not compromise on livability. From her owner-operator layout and sophisticated navigation suite to her beautifully appointed living spaces and serious technical infrastructure, she is a compelling offering for the buyer seeking a proven expedition-capable yacht with Dutch pedigree and custom-level execution.

Key Features

Overview & Construction

TWO BUBBLES was built for owners with genuine long-range cruising ambitions and specified accordingly. Her platform blends robust offshore construction with the efficiency and comfort required for extended time aboard.

Owner's Statement

“As a Marine Engineer and experienced bluewater sailor, I have spent my life on the world's oceans, crossing them aboard yachts I have owned and built. Two Bubbles is the third yacht I have commissioned and constructed, and I was personally involved in every stage of her design and build. Every decision was guided by decades of offshore experience, with the goal of creating a yacht that is exceptionally capable, comfortable, and prepared for true long-range cruising.

Having spent extended periods living aboard, I wanted more than a yacht that could simply reach distant destinations, I wanted one that was genuinely enjoyable to live on every day. Reliability, redundancy, efficiency, and ease of operation were paramount throughout the build. She is equipped with twin MAN heavy duty commercial marine engines capable of running 24/7 at high engine loads, dual autopilots, independent hydraulic and electric steering systems, dual VHF radios, dual Starlink systems, and numerous redundant systems that inspire confidence on extended passages. Through thoughtful engineering and refinement, we achieved approximately a 30% improvement in fuel efficiency over the original design specifications. Solar panels integrated into the hardtop significantly reduce generator run time, while the bow was reinforced to provide additional protection against floating debris or growlers encountered in remote cruising grounds such as Alaska and the Arctic.

Above all, Two Bubbles was built to be a comfortable, exceptionally seaworthy expedition yacht capable of safely and confidently crossing any ocean in the world. She is the culmination of a lifetime of offshore experience and engineering expertise, designed for owners who value reliability, comfort, and the freedom to explore without compromise.”
